People like you are the reason of probably a lot of the negativity around this forum. Remember, this is the LFS forum. I don't say that you cannot talk about any other racing game, but do that in the forum section made for these discussions. If you read closely under the LFS logo says: general LFS discussion. This topic therfor is on a general LFS thing, in this case it's a poll to adress peoples intrests in LFS.
Also I'd like to state that this forum isn't for advertising, and therefor your post is completely inrelevant & concidered as spam.
Anyways, please show your interest in iRacing on the iRacing forum or on the dedicated topic page on this forum.
If you watch the replay I drove with my front end at about half of the number 28 car (which was in my eyes not lining up properly). When the green flag was waved (on which point you are to overtake, see rulebook), I was faster of the starting line and therefor overtook the 28 car (which isn't agains the rules).
Also on the formation lap you have to drive in your correct position until we had to form the double file. Then I took my possition, as the 3rd car of the right part of the file.
By the way, if the admins didn't find the lining up correct enough they would have called for a restart or gave me a DT penalty. These things didn't happen so I think that everything went according the rules.
I'm sorry for you if you felt that it didn't go as you expected and I respect what you're protesting about because honestly I didn't know that the deal was at the time either. I just drove as I knew the rules stated. I closed the right part of the file as I thought would be the best, not disadvantaging the car behind me.
I'm curious what the admins have to say about this, because they really can't give any of us a penalty because they didn't investigated it during the race or called upon investigating after the race. It's just something we have to care a bit more for the next race.
1st issue was because the xiteInferno wasn't lining up propperly so technically Sonicrealms Racing did the same winning 1 place, but ones again this was because car number 28 didn't line up propperly. I'm sure that if you go and measure every car on the grid there will be about 10 cars which has the same. I think that the 28 car was the blame and he should get a warning for not lining up propperly than me getting punished while I did line up properly. Anyhow the rule could be a bit more clearafied after this race so there will be less discussion about this.
2nd issue isn't an issue because you're allowed to overtake as soon as the greenflag is waved check quote from Deko in drivers briefing:
I'm respecting that you point it out, but there's really nothing to worry about because I didn't do anything wrong.
I must say that this whole coöperation thing looks really promising ! Mainly because of the things that you state in your post Fram, we just can't all be present 100% of the time and therefore a coöperation between this 4 teams is the best way to go .
The name "Genuine Racing" also stands for our own goal as R2R which is pure, clean and awesome racing ! I'm definately very happy to be able to show the whole community that this is a proper way to go in these days of LFS and with the whole "arcade" thing going on. Everytime i go online I find people driving like they're playing Need For Speed which agrevates the hell out of me.
Anyways good job on organizing everything for us Fram !
We love you:lovies3d:
I recognize that :P. I got a 2 stroke 50cc bike (Rieju RS2 Matrix), with an AM6 engine with an, common, Aprillia gearbox. The sequence is 1-N-2-3-4-5-6 and between 5th and 6th gear it's common for this AM6 - Aprillia combination to go into false Nutral gear. Don't know why it happens though. But i know with 75kp/h in 5th, trying going to 6th and not being prepared for it going into false nutral its pretty damn scary specially when overtaking someone ... Kinda got used to it so I kick up twice now, might be a tip for you.
If you practise enough with the XRR and you know the flaws you'll be able to win i tell ya . I learned to take advantage of the turbo lag instead of discusting it .
At first i was curious how it would behave in race conditions - becouse I'd never driven it before - but it's very nice on the tires if you keep your head straight and don't drive like a mad man. You have to drive very easily and smooth, if you slip or slide like I've done some times during the race the tires do suffer allot.
I'd say to everyone who is planning to race the XRR in the GT2 class, learn the car from the inside out and dont be scared to be on the trottle too early couse the turbo lag will handle the exit for you .
actually my second Autocross layout for public use! I got inspired and some crazy toughts later...
This is the result! A race circuit ready for online use or solo hotlapping.
Could be fun for TBO/STD/FOX/FBM racing as i dont recommend it for GTR and higher powered Single Seaters.
Was tested using the FBM and FOX mostly and I find it pretty nice to drive on. Hope to see you guys reaction!
ofcourse, it's just a suggestion. I think more people agree with me that we'd like to see another street or a semi permanent track. Fun with racing and probably challenging to make a good setup for because of the big change in track condition.
What do you guys think about a Semi street circuit, like you've possibly seen in the IRL series. With semi I mean 30% to 40% made circuit only for racing, and 60 to 70% street circuit(bumpy, more narrow). Or a track on several pieces of landingstrips with tarmac linked together to make a circuit like for example Cleveland?
Anyways, idc about the file i posted, did it quickly...
But back on topic, I realize that names containing a disease or anything else for that matter are looked different at by other religions, cultures and countries.
for example:
In Dutch speaking countries it is very insulting to say "get cancer" or only the word "cancer" in a shouting/insulting manner to someone.
In my school if you're heard in class saying "cancer" you're being kicked out of the class and it's being reported to the year coordinator.
And maybe there are even more countries where this is the case where i don't even know the name off.
It's a cultural matter i think, and each and every oppinion should be respected.
